What The Fans Are Saying
Here are emails I have received from the fans. I encourage you to send me your thoughts about Saint. Stuff like: How you discovered the band, What it was like to see them in concert, Have you ever met any of the members, What are your favorite songs or albums of theirs, What memorabilia do you own of Saint, What do you like best about them...you get the idea. After I get your email(s), I will read over them and if they are fitting for this site I will gladly post them. So, go ahead, send me an email, I'm looking forward to hearing from all of you! By the way, some of the letters below contain replies from Josh Kramer, those replies are in green to make it easier for you to decipher the fan's letter and Josh's reply...please note some of the replies may appear purple on some of the pages, but I'm changing all of them to green. Also, I don't spell-check or grammer-check the emails/letters I receive, unless requested, so you may find some errors on these pages.
Back in the late 80's I was aware of Christian rock and metal, but really didn't know many of the bands, let alone know which one to buy a tape of, so I began looking into this music scene. Quickly I realized there was a lot of bands to choose from. Thankfully I knew of a guy that was selling a bunch of his Christian metal tapes and I was ready to buy. On an afternoon after church I bought 5 tapes from him, "Time's End" from Saint being one of them. Honestly I was impressed with the eye-catching cover and was definetely curious to see what they sounded like. I was not disappointed!
I remember listening to that tape over & over, eventually getting to a point where the tape was starting to wear out. I HAD to get more Saint tunes. So, I bought Too Late For Living and loved it, too, but for some reason Time's End was still my favorite. I knew of one more album I didn't have yet and as many of us "old school" Christian metalheads know, back then you had to "special order" your albums from the local Christian book stores (remember those days?). I ordered Warriors of The Son and enjoyed that album as well, it was more raw sounding, but had a great crunch! I love all three of these albums, but Time's End will always be my favorite album of Saint. Over the years I listened to practically all the Christian metal bands, back in the early 90's, if it was a Christian metal band - you name it - chances are I had one or all their albums. I bought tons of tapes & CD's back then, but honestly ONE band sticks out above all of them in my book, and you guessed it, it's Saint. Therefore, the reason for this site. Enjoy! -Mr. Saint Fan

Here are some of the latest fan letters...
As a college student in 1984, Saint became one of my favorite bands, along with Bride. Now, over 20 years later, my children rock to your music from way back then and your newer stuff too. It means a lot to me that you guys still play and never compromised your values. Do you guys ever play live anywhere? My children have been lucky enough to see Bride live as well as the 77's. They would love to see Saint. Any hope of that? Let me know if you have a minute. Again, thanks for what you do now and what you started in the early 80's. And thanks for rockin' for the Light. As the late Larry Norman wrote once a long time ago, you guys have proven that the devil doesn't have all the good music. As a matter of fact, his music stinks. Rock on! Take care, Steve Heffernan
Contact Saint - a fan since 1984; thank you steve. may i post your kind letter? no plans for tours as of yet. you certainly qualify to receive the back stage pass link as a friend of saint for many years. i'll get it to you next email. god bless...hjk
Josh, feel free to post my "kind letter." Thanks for responding to my email. You and Dale Thompson (from Bride) are two lead singers who respond back to fans when a lot of other band members don't. So, that's appreciated. When you go on tour, let all of us know. My children, as I mentioned earlier, are huge fans of Saint and Bride. I'll share your email with them. They will be thrilled. You guys are bigger than life to them. And as followers of Christ themselves, it's all good for them. We'll carry you "In the Battle." And thanks for rockin' for the Rock all of these years. It's been a great 26 years of Christian rock music for me. Your music kept me going all the way through college many years ago, and it still does now. Thanks again, and rock for the Light! Steve Heffernan
steve, i just sent off to mr saint fan the pdf of my book to have him make available to friends of saint like you. when he gets it uploaded, it will be yours for the asking. share it with your family. be aware though, it's pg-13. contains some violence and romantic, gooey scenes. please pre-screen and determine appropriateness before reading to small children. no saint tours or shows scheduled as of yet. that could change. about replying to fans; i have met some of the finest people like you on line through the years, and look forward to meeting more as time passes. god bless, josh....hjk
A review of Crime Scene Earth from Stefan...
http://mtibelgium.00freehost.com/SaintCDreviewCrimesceneearth.html
A fan recently contacted Josh by the name of Philip and gave the reply address of chromium..... @ yahoo . com (full email edited), but the email bounces back when Josh tries to reply. If you are Philip or know Philip, please contact Josh with the correct address (or add Josh's address to your contacts so his mail will go through). Thank you.
Josh, I had written you concerning my fall from grace a while back via a fan site and you responded with a very encouraging message back. I would like to thank yu for the message and taking the time to respond.Keep up the great work you are doing, all of you. Michael
And i Thank you michael for your support and prayers. what albums do you have of saint? refresh me. you probably already said... hjk
Josh, I got your message, as far as I know, I have all your albums except The Collection CD, The Mark, The basement tapes, and The perfect life. I own the CD or album of WOTS, (both versions), Time's end, In the battle, Live in 05, and of course Crime scene earth. Thanks for inquiring, Michael
i made a promise to saint fans that if they have anything of ours let us know and they will have exclusive access to the backstage pass for the asking, which is daily updating with the basement tapes and the saint bio. thanks again, michael....hjk
Hey Josh...............looking forward to your back stage pass........... It looks like Templar has self-released their new album. Have you heard the final product? I hope it will be available on your site. I absolutely love "Crime Scene Earth". What great musicianship.
I think some fans might be a little disappointed that you're not on vocals throughout the whole project. I think Rich pulled it through terrifically. I just finished listing to your live CD with Euro-Saint.................... OUTSTANDING!! Now it's time to slip Rob Rock's latest CD "Garden Of Chaos" in my CD player. GOD BLESS, Joe rich is a trooper. i think it ads variety to have him do some songs. it wil give me a break live. templar sent me copy of the new album. it sounds great. we are trying to work out a distro thing with the site. back stage passes soon up. hang tight. gary is working out the wrinkles. you are on top of the guest list...hjk
Congrats on making Girder music's number one selling disc! CSE rox! Great disc! - Gary number one!.........cool! i had no idea.. thanks for the update.....hjk
I have a question, that hopefully you can help me with. I was wondering if you have or know where I can get older Saint releases. I have Warriors on cd, but none of the ones after it. I used to have Times End and Too Late..., But I think they got loaned out eons ago and I never got them back. So if you have any available to purchase or know where I can, it would be appreciated. Thanks...and Keep rocking. Scott L
Contact Saint - older cds... try ebay. sometimes items pop up there. i made the mistake of loaning out my last too late for living and traded my times end thinking i could get more. wrong.... good luck. we have the remakes thru armor records but i think you are wanting the orig's. mr saint fan can help you possibly. he has a bunch of collectables but i dont know if he will part with them... god bless...hjk
I just received CRIME SCENE EARTH in the mail a few days ago, and I love it! Probably one of your best projects to date (TIME'S END is my favorate, and I like CRIME SCENE EARTH almost as much). I just want to ask that if you get any CRIME SCENE EARTH t-shirts made, could you let me know ASAP? I'd love to purchase one from this album.
dude, thanks for the purchases and comps! tee shirts are sold thru armor records. god bless...hjk
hello my name is rick.your new remix of warriors of the son has too much reverb on the mix down .i want to purchase the original recording of warriors of the son! ilike that raw dry sound on your first recording. also i sing all styles of music, im 39 yrs old ,i can do all diffrent types of metal voice is more of iron maiden and queens queensryche.. i dont sing that style much cause of the little demand for it. i have allso been influenced by your singing growing up. you sound better than priest! ive allways wanted to see you in concert. God bless .......rick
hello rick. thanks for the input. if you think the original cd or cassette sounded good of wos, you should hear it on vinyl with a laser stylus!!! it will make the hair stand on end. it is so crisp and full sounding. gary, mr. saint fan, owns a copy of the original wos, times end and too late for living on vinyl in mint condition and i think he might want to sell them some day. or maybe not. that i dont know. you'll have to ask him. queensryche and maiden are of my favorite bands. tough to sing to those masters of metal. later bro. i'd love to do a show where you could come and hang out and rock with us. god bless. hjk
in metal there are many vocalist who are forgotten but you are a one of a kind. i was heavy influenced by you. i am not a christian but saint and your vocals had impacted me when i was 10 yrs old now in my 30's i created my own metal band CHAMBER OF SORROW and grindcore band NIHILISTIC OUTLAW:CRIMINAL ORDER. we do cover saint songs like "the path" and "too late for livin" thanks alot man. you are up there with Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson. that is way i am trying to help by wearing your shirt i bought in my bands promo pictures. - Paul
thank you bro for the great compliments. you are very kind. god bless you paul. send me a myspace or utube addy and i will forward it to john mahan. totally his favorite style. i copied this letter for him to read. he has a lot going on and hearing back from him is nothing short of miraculess..(did you hear that john?) thanks again bro.....josh...hjk
all I can say is WOW! I cant believe you guys are still rockin. I thought you were long since done, last I heard anyway. over the years I have tried to find your music to Times End. lol. and I just happened to find your site out of the blue. I remember a time over 20 years ago walkin down state and 17th streets and could swear it was you guys rockin but was never sure. Did you guys use to practice around there at one time? love to know. 1986 was when I first heard Times End and thought it was awsome. Great vocals and hammering music. I am almost 40 now and still live in Salem. Are your albums still in stores? I sometimes ask people in christian stores since thats where I first bought Times End, and to late for living. but no one seems to have anything. anyways, Im a long time fan and am surprised and glad to hear that you all are well and still pumping out the metal for god. You guys rock. hope to hear from ya. Terry. Salem date in the future?
still rockin. not sure if i replied, many letters ago. thanks terry. yes we did practice around there, state and 17th street..god bless..hjk
Yes! I have preordered the new disc. Wow! what an album cover. Great design. Great pic of the band too. I noticed there is less leather than in the past. Is that the new saint look? I also noticed what appears to a Once Dead shirt you are wearing. I preordered that a long time ago. Do you know anything about that disc? I am currently on DSL! I am still learning some things, such as email. I haven't yet found my aol address book, so I'm writing you from the Saint site. Anyway, I really looking forward to the new disc. I am so glad you guys are back together. Peace bro! Gary from MI.
hey gary, thanks for pre ordering and the comps. we are evolving out of the leather look. it had it's time. thanks for keeping up to speed. the once dead shirt was a blessed gift from my dear friend larry farkas when we played in l.a. at the ashes fest. haven't heard the disc but they are really great musicians and played some serious metal at the fest...hjk
hey josh, a bit excited on hearing the new album..
thank you neal so are we.
i checked out that lightmare site. If you have anyother recomandations of other CHRIST honoring bands, plese let me know.
templar, Ivory night, once dead, mortification, tykkus, strykken, dynasty and pastor brad are of my favorites and are dear friends of mine so naturally i will highly endorse them. i am out of touch with the current christian / secular metal scene at the moment. hoping perhaps you could better advise me.
saint has a menopoly on my mp3 player right now, still filtering threw the christian bands out there, since saint has set the bar,
you are too kind.
as always,on a bent knee and on my hart that your strength is a direct feed from the HOLY SPIRIT and that the angels will be rejoicing over the 1 repented sinner, NEAL.
Thank you for that prayer and we are doing our utmost to keep plugged in to the holy spirit and humbly recieve infinate wisdom that only comes from god......hjk
Oops, as I hit send, I remembered you like a bigger font.... Hey brother, I just downloaded the new songs from the Saint Insider site (www.saintsite.com) and this stuff is KILLER!! I am so looking forward to the new album!! Keep up the good work. \m/ Nick thanks nick for writing large and thank you for the encouragement. you rock!.....hjk
A couple of weeks ago I house-sat and was able to enjoy cable hookup and to listen to the two songs by templar at your site. Those songs totally scorch! Awesome! I'm back home, and I have dial up and was able to listen to 1-2 seconds of King of Kings. By the way, the cover for Templar looks really spooky. Is that a girl? G. gary, thanks for the comps. yes that is a girl. templar loves to ride the edge. hjk
I got listening to SAINT many moons ago when I got saved. I fell from grace a while back and upon rededication to following Christ and living a Christian lifestyle, I looked up several bands from my past. It was great to see the guys from SAINT still at it. It has made my return to Christ even better and has brought me back to the ferver to spread the gospel that had years ago. Thanks for keeping the faith, and keep up the great work. Dr. Mike dr. mike and to all of my dear brothers and sisters in christ who can relate to mike's situation like me for example; god bless you bro for hanging in there and getting re-empowered. i know nothing of your personal perils or issues that pulled you away from your walk with god but i can relate to my own experience and many others faith shaken experiences too. god knows how hard it is to hang on when the world, (you know the type), "the road raged, hamster in a wheel, running fast and going nowhere, staying ahead of the jones' success driven, foul mouthed crazed maniacs in the office place, IE; climb and claw, kill or be killed, just more stuff, land raping, power hungry, money centered, lust-never-satisfied, envious, covetous, glib-neighbor character assasinating, jet-set-mind-set-in-crowd. yikes that is just about all of us huh?) and sometimes the church (all sects, none in particular, being that they are all governed and filled with humans who sometimes have their favorite ways of doing things and sometimes adhere to the world's way of governing, living in the church and judging their spiritual siblings.) ...does to us what it does sometimes. it is a miracle to stay alive in this life let alone keep the faith in god through it all even in the church, what ever church, (a very broad term), meets our intrest for the religious flavor of the moment. after all, our faith in christ is all we have left when you strip away all of the religion, (a very broad term), stuff and stress that goes with it. keep up the good work in christ, avoiding the "just more stuff, AKA, possessions-possessing-us" life style. maintain the pure image of jesus and his faithful deciples in our minds as our best examples. jesus' life style is a tough act to follow. that's why i had to throw in there, the word, "deciples". they were a little more like us normal avarage people, flawed and had issues but were hungry to do the perfect will of god no matter what it cost them. i hope this encourages and empowers you further and won't blow you out of the water. if anyone ever told you, "it is easy to be a believer in christ", they innocently lied to you. ..josh......hjk
Hello I'm Sam from Australia. I remember head banging to Times End when I was 14 back in the 80s. Ive only just picked up In The Battle and Warriors Of The Son. I give you 5 stars for sticking to your traditional sound. It's great. It's very encouraging that you are keeping God in the lyrics. I love what your doing. Keep it up.
Dear Saint, c/o Josh Kramer, I hope all is well with life and music - my name is Justin Sanvicens, senior writer and managing editor of Xtreme Music. I am producing a book on music and spirituality, am currently looking for musicians who may like to share their thoughts. There's only one thought-provoking question for all involved: "What do you believe is the spiritual significance of music?" Recent contributors are Admonish, Angelrage, Bride, dc Talk, delirious?, Demon Hunter, Petra, Stryper, and Tortured Conscience. Perhaps I could receive a soul-stirring response, around 200 words, when there is a moment in your schedule. Thanks for all. Best Regards,
All I know is that when I am playing music directed to God, shouting on or off pitch at the top of my lungs or whispering praises, worship, questions, and issues of life to him from the deepest depths of my soul, I feel a whole lot closer to him than when I don't. There is a time in the day for silence and no music too, to hear from the Lord! I have looked at my instruments sitting over in the corner since spring, coated with dust. I sing privately unto the lord every day though. Helps me stay in touch with God and ready for recording the next song for Saint and my other friends projects here and there. In God's perfect time, I'll pick up my dusty guitars and mic and do what I love to do best on and off stage as skillfully unto the lord as I can. I like to get down in the trenches on the front lines with my brothers and sisters, playing whenever, wherever and whatever. Blessings to all and all of yours...josh kramer...hjk http://www.saint777.net
all the goods are in there. http://www.mrsaintfan.freewebspace.com. been busy as always. saint is doing new stuff, and lots more. way more than i can discribe at the moment. thanx for dropping in. keep in touch......hjk
bryan, when did i join your my space? i haven't been to myspace for a long while. the last time i visited myspace was to delete a bunch of spam and porn wannabees trying to weezle their way into my computer. when is the date? it would have to have been a loooooooong time ago and i just don't remember. generally i don't join peoples my space unless requested by them to do so. i don't remember any recent signings in to anyone’s myspace. so if this is recent, it was not me, but i would love to know where it is so that i can join it. i recommend that you have your service provider or my space management look into the origin of the link signing. i get a ton of people constantly requesting to be a friend or place an ad in my personal myspace. many of the ads are obvious spammers and web spiders. i look into them and delete immediately, if they have porn images, i report the links to both myspace and msn security. msn security kicks butt!. so far they don't bother me anymore. people whom i know personally and i have had association with, get to remain on myspace. you are invited to be my friend on myspace if you havn't yet done so. i have had to get myspace to remove a hand full of links containing inappropriate content. they did remove the links quickly and thanked me for helping to make myspace safer. absolutely report any x-porn star, x-hooker, and people exposing them selves that place ads in your mypace. they are spider links that glom onto your myspace without you knowing it! there have been people that plopped themselves into myspace that i discovered to be trojan horses... they are gone. i havn't been there in a while to do any house cleaning but it is on my list of things to do. if there are any questionable links in my personal myspace that you see, please tell me right away! they will go straight to msn security, and are reported to mypsace management immediately. be cautious of web spiders (pre and post high school geeks with nothing better to do with their time) who go to your myspace and trick you into making them your friend and place ads which enables them to do other dastardly deeds in your pc. thank you bryan for being my friend beyond myspace for as long as you have been. wait till you hear what is going on in the saint camp and abroad.... keep in touch man...hjk

hi,mr.josh, hail again. i'm george from cyprus. first of all i wanna thank you for all the stuff you gave me with my last order. you are always special in my heart and your music means everthing for me. i wanna confess you, however, something that's a dream for me. i have all of your recordings except the first release on rotton records of "warriors of the son". having this album is something like a dream for me. i promised to myself that if i'm able to get this vinyl, i would made a tattoo with SAINT logo in my arm, to show my loyalty to your divine music. i hope and pray that you will be able to fullfill my dream, mr.josh! i wanna wish you all the best for the future and hopefully someday we will meet face to face. i can't wait for your reply!thanx for everything! best wishes george
SAINT just could not be the same without you. I dreaded the day that I thought "TOO LATE FOR LIVING" was the end of SAINT, the band that introduced me to Jesus Christ and Some of the best music and vocals in metal that are still the best i have heard. I hope that there will be more of SAINT to come that has you on vocals. God bless you and your family in all you do in his name. Your BRO. in Christ, Travis
thank you bro for the compliment. rich is going to sing on a song on next album. you'll enjoy it. he has improved greatly. it will be a nice break in a show to have him sing one. i'll play guitar live and back him vocally. it will be fun. god bless....josh...hjk

Since this is a tribute/fan site, I do not plan on posting a chat room, message board, or guestbook, where anyone can post whatever they want. Why? It is because I want this to be a clean, friendly site where all of you can visit and enjoy reading what others have to say about Saint without finding something offensive, annoying, etc. that someone may decide to post. Thank you for your understanding!
